Mops

Mops

The mop is a tool invented almost 200 years ago in America and improved in the 1950s by a Spanish citizen: it is from the latter that the Italianised term “mocio” derives.

Arcasa has contributed to the evolution of the mop by using different types of fabrics, each of which is suitable for a specific use and specific types of floor.

Made from non-woven fabric (NWF), cotton, microfibre or cellulose, Arcasa mops guarantee high absorption, as well as allowing all types of flooring to be degreased, cleaned and dried thoroughly.

The product range is completed by a series of buckets for cleaning the floors, all equipped with a wringer, which is spacious and highly resistant.

SUPER ASSOMOP

The use of the most innovative microfibre fabrics selected by Arcasa’s R&D department, together with an exclusive technical anti-scratch fixing solution, make the Super AssoMop Action Microfibre the top product in its category.

To these characteristics, an advanced assembly process is added, which is fully automated and numerically controlled, called “flower form”; this allows you to strictly comply with the alternation of strips of detergent fabric with strips of drying fabric, a solution that Arcasa researchers have found to be the most effective and efficient in terms of:

  • Surface cleanliness
  • Removal of excess water-cleaning product mixture
  • Liquid removal speed during the wringing phase

The Super AssoMop Action Microfibre, entirely designed and produced in Italy, is also equipped with a coupling system to the handle that allows you to apply the one used by Arcasa brooms and brushes: in addition to eliminating the need to buy another accessory, this smart solution reduces the potential environmental impact that would have resulted from the disposal of the second component.

NWF is an acronym for non-woven fabric. This is a material in which the fibres, contrary to what happens with the traditional orthogonal weaving process, are arranged randomly: this difference gives the material greater resistance to wear, high temperatures and, in general, to wear.

The non-woven fabric with which Arcasa mops are made is produced from a mix of eco-sustainable raw materials: 30% is made from recycled PET from plastic bottles, while the remaining 70% comes from cotton obtained from t-shirt offcuts. Finally, the “spunlace” technique is used in the production process, which involves a limited use of water and the use of energy partly derived from renewable sources.
